Job Summary and Description
Teaching faculty are professional educators who have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the District mission of providing a quality education for all students attending the colleges.Categories include full-time, temporary with benefits, and temporary without benefits. Faculty members are responsible to a department/program chairperson; The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning.Faculty members will uphold the mission and values of the colleges' and foster effective working relationships with students and colleagues.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:

• Associates degree in Medical Assisting or health care field related to courses to be taught.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in related field preferred.
• Three years recent work experience in an allied health care field.
• Teaching experience in an allied health or health care field.
• One of the following credentials:

CMA (AAMA) -Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)
RMA (AMT) -Registered Medical Assistant (AMT)
National Center for Competency Testing, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
National Healthcareer Assocation, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
EMT-Paramedic
RN
NP
APRN
MD
