Job Details Job Location San Antonio Food Bank - Culinary Building - San Antonio, TX Position Type Full Time Education Level High School or GED Equivalent Salary Range $17.00 - $17.00 Hourly Job Category Transportation Description This position is primarily responsible for securing and the delivery of prepared meals to site locations throughout San Antonio. Responsible for the pickup, secure and distribution all food and grocery item donated in the 16 county service areas. Essential Functions :
Deliver prepared meals to Pre-K 4 SA sites as scheduled.
Assist in accuracy of inventory; count and verify number of prepared meals while loading
Properly store and maintain meals to ensure quality of product until delivery
Provide receipt of delivery; have site sign and date to acknowledge/confirm proper receipt of delivery
Maintain and clean vehicles as required
Promotes food, personal, and vehicle safety
Communicates any issues or changes that may arrive to the Transportation Manager
Completes Daily reports, logs, vehicle inspection logs and other written communications when due
Always acts as an ambassador of the San Antonio Food Bank when conducting business with donors, site personnel, potential donors, partner agencies and donation recipients
Unload donated product to on-site feeding facilities.
Provide initial donation receipt with proper signatures to donors and recipients.
Weigh, classify and warehouse donated product according to acceptable warehousing practices.
Accepts additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School degree or equivalent
Attention to detail, accuracy and the meeting of deadlines
Quality Customer service skills
Able to move or lift 50 pounds
Possession of a current Texas driver's license, clean driving record and current vehicle insurance.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects with hand and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, color and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The work environment is primarily indoors, but may require attendance at events that are held outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
