JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking two full-time, medical receptionists for our fast paced four doctor hybrid practice. The applicants should be reliable as we can see 100 patients a day. Our patients have also come to expect friendliness and professionalism, so the ability to communicate effectively and being a team player is key.

MAIN DUTIES TO INCLUDE

Preparation of the daily clinic, answering phones, monitoring faxes and referrals to ensure action is completed.

Welcomes and greets patients, drug reps and visitors when they enter the office with professionalism and courtesy. Check in, including verification of benefits and demographics, copying insurance cards, and saving patient in the EMR system and filing paperwork in the chart.

Scheduling appointments and checking for messages to be routed to the appropriate staff.

Supporting the check-out clerk as backup, duties to include scheduling follow up appointments, accepting copays, account receivables, printing HCFAS for the billing office, and selling cosmetic products.

Other related duties as the job requires or requested by the front desk supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent education

At least one year work experience or more in a clinical setting

Ability to demonstrate eligibility for employment in the United States

Ability to handle several administrative tasks simultaneously (answering phones, checking in patients and communicating with coworkers)

Experience in Athena practice management and Modernizing Medicine(EMA) EMR system helpful but not required.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires prolonged sitting, able to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms..

Occasional stooping, kneeling or crouching. A normal range of hearing and eyesight to prepare the daily work. Must be computer literate, with basic knowledge of general office equipment such as keyboards, fax, copiers, etc.
