The IT Systems Technician II should be someone that has experience and knowledge working in all areas of IT such as systems, network, cyber security, cloud services such as Microsoft 365 and Azure, access control, DVRs, and telephony, needs to have strong people skills and troubleshooting skills, be also well versed on the helpdesk functions helping end users diagnose and troubleshoot all IT related problems, also makes sure internal data is protected and integrity using proper security controls. Be capable of designing and providing training and cyber security such as phishing threats, training on new technologies or implementations such as Microsoft Teams, etc.

Position Details: This is a full-time hourly (non-exempt) position (40 hours/week).
Pay: The rate of pay for this California-based position is $27.00 per hour. The actual compensation offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Benefits and Perks: The San Diego Rescue Mission makes available comprehensive benefits for all full-time employees, including 85%- paid employee medical option (for employee only, dependent coverage is available). Other benefits offered include dental and vision coverage, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness and Accident, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, a 401k program with employer match (can participate after 1 year of service), 11 paid holidays, Flexible work hours (position dependent), and paid time off.
Hours/Availability - The employee must be able to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed. The employee must be on-call or participate in on-call rotation (if available).
Dress code: We work in a business casual dress attire environment, with casual-dress Fridays. The dress code does vary by position and department, please consult with your hiring manager to confirm your applicable dress code at the time of hire.
Supervisory: No supervisory responsibilities of paid staff. The employee has regular supervision of clients in job training assignments and external volunteers.
Travel/Transportation: The employee must travel on a regular (or periodic) basis, as the job requires. The employee must have reliable transportation (public transportation may be acceptable depending on the purpose of travel). If the employee receives authorization to use a Mission vehicle to perform duties, he or she must present a current California driver's license and good driving record in order to be placed on the Mission's insurance policy.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to push, move, lift or otherwise bear a minimum of 30lbs. Applications may include but are not limited to repetitive work using a computer keyboard, mouse and headphones while sitting and/or standing at an assigned work desk area. The employee may be required to drive vehicles, trucks, forklifts and other equipment as needed (current licenses would be required).
