About The TeamThe Ballpark Operations team is responsible for the event day needs of the organization’s events here at Oracle Park. This department works cross-functionally with several other departments and is integral to the success of the event day experience. About The RoleThe Event Staff team will help with the setup and takedown of equipment for baseball and non-baseball events in a safe and clean manner. This role will work closely with various departments within the Giants Organization in order to successfully support the logistics that go into hosting baseball games and non-baseball events. This is an exciting role that will provide employees with substantive exposure into the world of operations at a major venue.
You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because…
  • You will work with supervisors to set up and take down equipment and furniture used for events
  • You will make changes to floor plans if requested by client or event supervisor
  • You will provide hands-on support for projects throughout the ballpark
  • You will provide outstanding customer service clients and guests during events
  • You will operate baseball pitching machines during selected events
  • You will assist with client and vendor load-in/load-out for selected events
  • You will maintain and monitor furniture and equipment storage areas
  • You will assist with “shagging” (i.e. catching and collecting) baseballs during batting-related events
  • You will complete light maintenance work such as painting, staining and equipment and furniture assembly may be required

  • You have minimum of one year experience in a relevant field, particularly in a hands-on support role preferred
  • You have the ability to multi-task, are punctual and presentable
  • You have the ability to be adaptable and work as a team player
  • You maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times
  • You have event set-up and forklift experience (a plus)
RequirementsValid Driver’s License.
Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, life and/or move up to 60lbs., and climb ladders as needed
Must be able to work flexible hours and variable schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
$22 - $22 an hour

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The hourly rate for this position will be $ 22.00 / hourIn addition to your pay, the San Francisco Giants believe in providing a competitive total rewards package for its employees. After 60 days of employment, employees may be eligible for indemnity healthcare through Healthy SF, which includes medical, dental and prescription coverage. Employees are also eligible for EAP and commuter benefits. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and the terms of official plan documents which may be modified or amended from time to time.
