Chief Purpose of this position: The chief purpose of this full-time, non-tenure eligible 9-month position is to support the department’s teaching mission. This position is a non-renewable appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Position Responsibilities: The faculty member will teach four undergraduate courses per semester, and other courses assigned on the basis of departmental needs. The faculty member also will provide service to the department.

Required Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited university in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies or a related field. At least 6 months of experience teaching at the undergraduate level in the field of Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies
A record of teaching foundational undergraduate courses in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies, including Introduction to Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies (or equivalent)
A record of teaching advanced undergraduate courses in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
