San Marcos Baptist Academy is Hiring a Retail Assistant (Part - time) Near San Marcos, TX
Description
San Marcos Academy, a private, college preparatory school servicing students in grades Pre K-12, is accepting applications for a Retail Assistant. This will be a part-time position. Hours will include afternoon or evening shifts. This position will require help to stock and work concessions for sports after normal school hours. Hours may vary based on the activities/events each week. This position will require flexibility in schedule.
We are looking for staff dedicated to the mission of San Marcos Academy and a heart to serve our students and their families with their needs throughout the year.
MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of San Marcos Academy is to educate young men and women within a nurturing community based upon Christian values.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Cashiering using a NCR Counterpoint point of sale machine
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to assist students PreK-12th grade
- Receiving, pricing, and shelving merchandise
- Clerical work and data entry
- Availability to work hours in the afternoon and other hours as needed (mostly Mon-Fri, weekends occasionally)
- Flexibility to work in our Bookstore, Bear Outfitters (uniform store) and Concessions areas
Required Qualifications:
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet application
- Ability to work well with students
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Flexible work hours
Compensation: Hourly, determined by experience. Range is $9.00/hour to $12.00/hour
