Supply Chain General Manager

Supply Chain Management Job Type Full-time Description Purpose of this Job:

Lead all aspects of supply chain, production control and inventory control activities within SIA, as well as overseeing logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements **Principle Duties/Essential Functions:**

Strategy & Development

Review and improve processes for overall MP&L activity to support methods and policies ensuring most efficient and economical movement of all materials in and out of the plant.

Evaluate the challenges faced by the organization and take action to mitigate risks and ensure minimal disruption & provide maximum customer satisfaction.

Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process.

Task Management

Analyze and evaluate inventory and delivery problems and recommend solutions.

Create internal management reports to track performance and costs related to inventory, transportation, cost savings, production, and sales.

Review opportunities to standardize and streamline processes utilizing current IT systems.

Maintain liaison among production, sales, and warehouses to provide efficient customer delivery service.

Lead any recovery actions necessary due to unplanned events in supply chain.

Implement project management to meet plan timeline and allocated budget.

Based on executive management strategy, determine departmental objectives/goals [KPIs] and monitor progress & performance to ensure achievement of overall business objectives

People Management

Provide leadership; coach & develop a high performing team that adds value and continuous improvement to the process.

Ensure strong communication between team members to facilitate exchange of information to implement change and continuous improvement.

Ensure all team members operate in accordance with environmental, health, and safety policies.

Train and support MP&L teams on the company processes and systems.

Financial Budget & Control

Develop and control MP&L budgets, forecasts, and capital investment proposals.

Oversee and optimize costs in relation to packaging and shipping arrangements.

Ensure compliance with customer and legal requirements.

Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively to ensure MP&L objectives are being met.

Communicate any concerns and recommend solutions without compromising quality or service and aim for cost optimization.

Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on MP&L activities.

Maintain excellent relationships with customers and monitor performance & progress of deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction while optimizing costs.

Ensure compliance with import/export/customs regulations, including record retention.

**Education:**

Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or Logistics. MBA is preferred.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience:**

5 - 7 years extensive knowledge of MP&L within an automotive or manufacturing environment.

Minimum of seven years in manufacturing management, heavy concentration in traditional Materials Management departments, and exposure to manufacturing finance.

Working knowledge of IT system [ERP] and advance skills in excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of managing both domestic and international business activities.

Demeanor suitable to working with international cultural differences and business practices.

Ability to succeed both independently and within a cross-functional team.

**Licenses or Certifications:**

APICS certification preferred.

**Physical Demands:**

Primarily office environment, with exposure to warehouse or line side working on an as required basis.

High stress conditions

Must simultaneously deal with multiple high priority projects

**Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):**

PPE may be required based on specific projects.

**Work Environment/Hours:**

Primary work area is in an office setting.

Must be able to work normal office hours plus provide support on evenings and weekend (as needed).

Must be able to deal with a wide variety of people on a personal level.
