SandHurst AEC, LLC is Hiring a Project Superintendent Near Falls, VA

Responsibilities

The superintendent must be highly organized with an eye for detail and lead all field operations, ensuring the project remains on schedule.

Must proactively identify and strategically solve problems with minimal executive oversight.

Take a strategic role in preconstruction, constructability reviews, and project risk assessments.

Attend the post-award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning before construction.

Maintain compliance with construction codes and safety and government regulations.

Must have experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders.

Direct a diverse group of internal and external team members, including subcontractors.

Build strong relationships with clients/owners, subcontractors, and inspection authorities.

Ensure all onsite operations are conducted safely, on time, on budget, and to SandHurst-AEC’s quality standards.

Cooperate with architects or owner representatives on an amicable basis but in the long-term interest of SandHurst-AEC.

Collaborates with the assigned Project Manager on all aspects and phases of projects to manage and communicate information on the project, materials, and installation and relay that data to the PM office.

Attend weekly GC project meetings, working directly with the Project Manager to uphold the project schedule, support cost control, and report overall status to stakeholders.

Conducts ongoing site inspections before, during, and after installation to ensure project timeline, quality, and productivity targets are being met.

The superintendent will lead and link the clients, sub-contractors, and project managers.

The superintendent will oversee the installation and maintain the partner relationships on the project.

Collaborates with the Project manager to ensure that crews are hired and mobilized.

Performs on-site subcontractor management and informs subcontractors of products and schedules.

Maintain a daily diary to record all significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors, owner-representative contacts, commitments, agreements, and approvals.

Conducts regular Safety Toolbox talks for crews.

Coordinates with the subcontractors to ensure the workflow meets the project production schedule and profitability targets.

Informs Project Manager weekly of the work completed by each sub-contractor for subcontractor payroll.

Performs field measurements as needed.

Works with PMs on Change Order creation, submission, and approval.

Responsible for maintaining quality control on job sites.

 Oversees staging, storage, and security of materials.

Ensures pre-punch activities are completed and that the punch list is created.

Manages timely completion of punch list items and verifies Client’s approval.

Qualifications

8-10 Years experience, Education: High School or Trade School Experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
