Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and enter into estimating systemWork with estimating team and / or Project Managers as needed to develop scope of work and estimated hoursReview quotes for completeness with plans, specifications and co-ordinate with clients as neededItemize and quantify all incidentals necessary in preparing the bid packages including sub-contract work, equipment rental, tools and suppliesProvide to the Chief Estimator a detailed review of scope, technical requirements, and pricing for the estimated bid package.Hand-off bid to Project Management to fully explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes and offer aspects.Responsible for the timely completion of all client-required documents.Draft scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimatesMaintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figuresWhat will help you be successful :
3 years of related experienceAbility to provide clear verbal communication, ability to provide and receive feedback effectivelyFamiliarity with Civil and Land SurveyingProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Suite, PDF editing software, etc.)Ability to multi-task, prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced and professional environment.Ability to perform arithmetic calculations required for estimatingAbility to read and interpret blueprints and / or engineering design drawingsA little about Sandis Benefits :
