Key performance areasIn this dynamic role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the product portfolio ensuring improved sales and overall business growth.
The region covered for this role would be Sales Area America’s for Rotating Indexable.Main duties and responsibilities:Developing and communicating the offer's value to the market, including shaping, and tailoring the go to market approach to secure successful introductions and growth, working closely with Sales Area, Cluster Managers, Offer Implementation and other key stakeholders. Furthermore, understanding customer and market needs is vital to ensure successful product roadmaps are created in close collaboration with global product management to secure a balanced future product portfolio is managed and maintained.
Through an influential and diverse stake holder group, the successful regional product manager will contribute to the growth of the rotating indexable portfolio in America's. This will include but not be limited to:
  • Supporting in building the value proposition and positioning for products.
  • Leading, coordinating and following-up on new product launches.
  • Developing and following-up on go-to-market strategies, including connection to Local Business Plans for Cluster and adapting accordingly.
  • Conducting market sizing, competitor analysis and win/loss analysis for the offer (including identifying GAPs)
  • Driving business opportunity management including strategic aspects to replicate success.
  • Collaborating with Account Managers on the Customer Value Plan for high potential customers for the Product Area.
  • Securing alignment between the Product Area and Sales (accountability for target setting, accurate forecasting and for proposing allocation of resources)
  • Ensuring the promotion and content material is updated and tailored to the prioritized pains and gains for targeted customer groups (new launches and legacy)
Your way of working
  • Supports Sales activities including analysis of customer’s technical needs; suggests and implements solutions.
  • Ambassador for driving new ways of working and future technology within field of expertise to ensure customers’ needs are fulfilled and profitable business is gained.
  • Ensures post-sales activities include resolving implementation problems and conduct trainings relevant trainings.
  • Liaises with hardware, software, and systems design engineers to ensure products and services are modified, configured, and installed per customer needs
  • Monitor competitors’ landscape and alternative solutions that can jeopardize Sandvik Coromant’s business.
Your profile
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Solid and proven technical experience with engineering cutting tools skills and knowledge.
  • Proven track record in delivering good business results.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and technical terms and conditions.
  • Project management knowledge and experience managing external and internal customer relationships is an advantage.
  • People management experience is an advantage.
  • Must possess a current driver’s license valid for his/her state of primary residence.
Required Competencies
  • Broad technical knowledge in metal cutting tools and strong competence in area of rotating indexable.
  • Structured and organized business orientated approach to support a diverse and geographically spread team.
  • Ability to manage customer requests and business issues effectively, capable of leveraging all resources.
  • Ability to listen to customers and sales project teams to understand underlying needs and ensure suitable technical solutions are delivered to secure profitable business for Sandvik Coromant.
