Sandy's Racing | Gaming is currently seeking a Marketing Associate to play a critical role in providing a wide range of administrative support to the Marketing Department.

Position Summary

As a Marketing Associate, you will provide a wide range of administrative support to the Marketing Manager and the Marketing Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Foster an environment that embodies Sandy’s #ALL IN philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere. Enthusiastically promote Sandy’s culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations.
  • Places, accepts, and screens telephone calls and refers calls to others as appropriate.
  • Issues comps when necessary and following established guidelines.
  • Assist in the management of Sandy’s Gaming website to display all current and accurate information regarding promotions, races, entertainment schedules, and any other needed information.
  • Monitor Sandy’s Information email to answer customer questions and inquiries.
  • Hosts promotional events and improves upon the guest experience.
  • Develop event timelines, schedules, and checklists to ensure all aspects of events are well-organized and executed smoothly.
  • Collaborate with the Gaming Manager to plan and execute live events, performances, and promotional activities that enhance the overall entertainment offerings of the facility.
  • Collaborate with the Gaming and Entertainment Manager to promote events through various channels, including social media, online platforms, and in-house signage.
  • Distributes all related information regarding VIP arrival and related programs to all departments.
  • Communicates all pertinent guest information to the hosts and managers to maintain consistency and alleviate potential problems.
  • Maintains high standards of courtesy, professionalism, and discretion in all communications to or about preferred customers.
  • Answers questions from customers and employees pertaining to Source Rewards, tier status, promotions, events, entertainment, and the casino’s products and services.
  • Tracks play data for marketing programs, following established guidelines.
  • Inputs data into standard department reports using Excel and Word.
  • Keep inventory of supplies and replenish as needed under budgeted expense goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Willing to train the right candidate.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain applicable Kentucky Horse Racing Commission licensing.
  • Must have extremely strong customer service and communication skills to handle guest inquiries, questions, and complaints.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient with the use of PC applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must possess problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • A professional appearance and team player is required.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and be a team player.
  • Most possess problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player required.

Education & Experience

  • One to three years of Marketing experience is a plus.
  • Experience in website and social media management.
  • Great interpersonal skills, cheerful attitude, and team player are required.

Working Environment

  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours).
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and talk.
  • Must be able to lift and handle up to 20lbs without assistance.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, reach and turn/twist for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to solve problems, organize and plan multiple projects, interpret data, and make decisions.
