Department Details

Complete various clerical duties, assist in helping perform phlebotomies, help with nursing home draws during the week and floating between both clinics

Job Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens. Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment. Working at both clinic laboratories, performing morning nursing home rounds. Clerical work including scheduling appointments, calling for orders, placing outside orders, among other various clerical duties.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.

Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
