Multidisciplinary Therapy Team; supporting weekend coverage and varied shifts to aide in patient care

Job Summary

Assists patients/residents/clients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of a physical therapist, to improve patients'/residents'/clients' quality of life and ability to perform daily activities. Assists therapy services for patients/residents/clients suffering from physical, or developmental impairments, in line with related standard concepts, practices and procedures. Prepares equipment and materials for treatment; assists patients/residents/clients' and provides encouragement to make sure that they correctly perform treatments. As needed, performs other related duties as requested.

Depending on location and facility needs, work may focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long term care, and home health care environments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of employment.

When applicable, current valid driver s license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers.
