What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Manager position at SANIL?

 At SANIL, our goal for the Marketing Manager role is to drive membership and other commercial revenue (e.g., auctions, sweepstakes, events, merchandise) from college sports fans. We’re looking for an experienced and versatile marketing manager who’s eager to take the lead, demonstrate a passion for growth, and the ability to innovate. The ideal candidate has experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns. The manager should be equally proficient with day-to-day marketing activities and long-term strategizing, and strive under tight deadlines to meet the changing needs of our clients. The ideal candidate for this position will be based in Atlanta, GA. 

Objectives of this role
  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Collect and analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development 

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic marketing plans based on goals and objectives of clients, including lead generation, fan engagement, membership, and other commercial revenue.
  • Work closely with internal social, email and creative leads, and collaborate with the client’s marketing team, to develop comprehensive campaigns and the deliverables needed throughout.
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform campaign strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
  • Present ideas, final deliverables and marketing plans to internal teams and externally to clients
  • Acquire and monetize assets (e.g., experiences, tickets, merchandise) from universities to drive commercial revenue.
  • Design campaigns and work with internal and external team members to execute.
  • Create case studies and best practices based on results from campaigns and activations

Required skills and qualifications
  • Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity

Preferred skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field
  • Proficiency with digital marketing and social media strategy
  • Experience working in the sports industry or within college athletics is a plus
