Sanitas Medical Center is hiring a Full Time CT Technologist for our Tampa - North Port facility in North Port, FL.

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic CT procedures.

This full-time CT Technologist is located in our Tampa - North Port facility in North Port, FL.

CT Technologist Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Administrative Director and in conjunction with the Medical Director, performs professional duties involved in all aspects of C.T. Scanning, with latitude for independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative.

  • Must have a working knowledge of life-saving techniques and be capable of performing well under pressure.

  • Must have advanced knowledge of the complexities of C.T. equipment. Assumes the responsibility for specified examinations and is responsible for introducing the basics of C.T. technology to the staff and students.

  • Is responsible for the assessment, treatment or care appropriate to the ages of the patients served: i.e. toddler, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

  • Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs; possesses knowledge of growth and development; and has an understanding of the range of treatment needed for these patient groups.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Florida Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT certification required

  • BCLS required

  • Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an AMA approved school.

  • 1 year of experience preferred. CT Registry preferred.

  • CT Registry or completed within 6 months.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to work standing up, walk, use hands to operate tools and equipment and must be able to exert regularly up to 10 pounds of force, frequently exert 30 pounds of force and occasionally exert 50 pounds of force to constantly perform the essential job functions. The employee will be frequently required to reach with hands and arms, bend, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and pull. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
