SanMar is Hiring a Staff Accountant Near Issaquah, WA
What's the Short Version?The Staff Accountant supports SanMar's financial consolidation, financial reporting, internal control, intercompany, payments, and monthly reconciliations. They work independently to record transactions, update the general ledger, reconciling accounts and assisting with issue escalation and/or resolution.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Code invoices to general ledger accounts.
- Process transactions and updating ledgers.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month end closing.
- Assist with fact checks, resolving discrepancies, gathering and analyzing information.
- Prepare financial reports.
- Perform basic office tasks, including filing and data entry.
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in financial reporting and internal controls.
- Prior experience in public accounting or working with a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) within 1 Year preferred.
- Familiarity with basic Accounting principles.
- Professional manner and strong ethical code.
- Ability to work as a cooperative and collaborative member of a professional team.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping concepts, accruals, debit/credit journal entries and practices.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
