Manages both the Sales Department of a high-volume casino operation.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Develop and implement new guest service programs and sales campaigns.
  • Improve existing programs affiliated with providing excellent guest service and increasing sales.
  • Manage the operations of the Sales Department to ensure the professional execution of planned functions and special events.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the Sales Department.
  • Work with all Pueblo of Santa Ana Tribal entities to develop and implement business opportunities with casino.
  • Work with area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau to attract new business to casino and other tribal properties.
  • Represent casino and General Manager at meetings and events, when necessary.
  • Assist with promotions, event planning, staging and implementation or any other area and duty as called upon and determined by Hotel Director.
  • Create creative ideas to upsell and increase revenues.
  • Develop sales kits, collateral materials, gaming packages and trade shows and create non-traditional sales opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal members.
  • Bachelor’s degree required or comparable work experience preferred.
  • Required three to five years of previous experience as a sales manager and/or Director of Marketing in an upscale full-service convention facility, casino, or a resort hotel.
  • Minimum of five years of combined previous management experience from group sales, convention services, catering-banquets, F&B, casino or hotel operations.
  • Excellent organizational, marketing, interpersonal, verbal and written skills required.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Bi-cultural and multi-cultural experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel software.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
