Description
Santa Fe Recovery Center (SFRC) is searching for a dynamic and motivated Child Care Specialist who will provide childcare and support for children 0 to 6 years of age. The qualified candidates should have previous childcare experience and credentials.
SFRC’s Residential treatment is a 30 to 120-day commitment. The Women’s program provides 32 treatment beds for women, pregnant women, or women who have small children. The center for women and children is unique in New Mexico because it enables mothers to bring their children (0-6 years) with them while in residential treatment. Gender-specific treatment for women focuses on self-esteem, self-worth, and value in an open and honest atmosphere. Mothers are encouraged to discuss their feelings and explore strategies for reunification with their children. This program is aimed at ceasing the generational cycle of trauma, illness, and addiction among families.
Under the supervision of the Project Director, Women’s and Children’s Services, the Childcare Specialist is responsible for the safety and care of children of women receiving treatment at SFRC’s residential program. The Childcare Specialist provides care/supervision, oversight, and accountability for children staying with their mothers in the program. The Childcare Specialist assists in preparing age-appropriate curriculum and activities; supervises children during indoor and outdoor activities and arranges and serves snacks/meals. Executes work in accordance with SFRC policies and regulations.
