The mission of SM is to feed the body, mind, and spirit of the individuals by providing them with supplemental groceries and other basic services, educational programs for all ages, and opportunities to give back through volunteer service.
SM is a Second Harvest Silicon Valley food pantry distributing upwards of 100,000 pounds of donated food monthly. As well as groceries, SM provides clothing, household items and referral services to other agencies. SM supports long-term transformation through education, tax filing assistance and other programs to address seasonal needs.
Since our beginning, we have listened to community needs and started new services to empower families and individuals to transform their circumstances.
SM seeks to promote self-sufficiency among its clients and provides various services six days a week. Most of the families served have at least one adult member with a full-time job.
