We are a well-established oral surgery practice seeking a professional, reliable individual to assist our surgeons. Dental assisting experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train a driven individual. Everyone on the surgical team shares responsibilities and must be a team player. Our ideal applicant must have a track record of strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and punctuality.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist the oral surgeon during office procedures, including those under sedation
• Perioperative management of patients: patient instructions, obtaining vital signs, taking diagnostic x-rays, and postoperative discharge
• Understand and abide by HIPPA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
• Electronic medical record: Organize and review medical history, medical alerts, and consent forms
• Equipment maintenance and instrument sterilization in compliance with OSHA
• Prepare surgical trays for all routine procedures as well as stock supplies
• Disinfect surgical suites between procedures

Applicant MUST be able to work Saturdays.

RDA, OMSA or DAANCE certified preferred.
