Role DescriptionYou will work with the other members of the DevOps team to improve and standardize the cloud infrastructure, perform and automate customer maintenance and deployment tasks, and build tooling to allow other teams to self-service as Sapio grows and scales its teams and infrastructure.
We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can work well in a rapidly growing global business. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential as well as ability to self-govern and plan time to fit collaborating around time zones.
Essential Skills And Experience
- Proven Linux admin skills
- Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud provider
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with Jenkins pipelines
- Some coding experience java
- Proven experience building modern cloud infrastructures.
- Some coding experience python
- Knowledge of and experience with Docker both on desktop and in production
- Experience running java applications with Apache Tomcat.
- Familiarity with modern time series Observability tooling: log aggregation, APM, infrastructure monitoring etc
- Knowledge of Chef or Ansible
- Some familiarity with Ruby
- Experience working in regulated environments, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC-2.
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Science background to Degree level or equivalent.
- Assist in design and build of the infrastructure.
- Perform customer deployment and troubleshooting tasks.
- Automate and document common tasks so they can be handed off to other teams.
- Contribute to development of in-house java infrastructure self-service tool
- Drive configuration and adoption of monitoring and observability tooling.
- Ensure SOPs are followed to ensure compliance and regulatory obligations are met.
- Carry out DR tests and instance qualification to a high degree of precision.
