Program Management Director: Policy
Divisions: Atlanta Information Management
General Description and Classification Standards
The (AIM) program management director: policy (PMDP) is
accountable for ensuring appropriate policy controls are in place for information technology (IT)
expectations citywide. The PMDP is responsible for overseeing the audit controls, process, and findings
directly impacting AIM. In this role the PMDP also serves as the chair of AIM s architecture review
board. The PMDP works closely with AIM leadership to ensure reduction of risk via change control,
policy documentation, and audit resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitates, manages, and leads special projects, assignments, audits, and tasks to ensure successful
execution
Ensures the City is appropriately managing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and
systems through the management of policy and procedures
Oversees AIM policy management lifecycle
Works closely with City Auditor and AIM leadership regarding audit findings and audit coordination
Proactively address all audit findings
Responsible for ensuring the department aligns to expectations with citywide records retention
policy
As architecture review board chair this role is responsible for facilitating meetings, overseeing the
change process, escalating concerns raised by the board, tracking, and reporting of all changes
Escalates all risks and issues impacting the department from a policy, audit, or controls perspective
Ensures high-quality results for all areas under the control and oversight of the PMDP
