Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation or prescribed radiofrequency beams for radiologic diagnosis and / or intervention. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

SMH-Sarasota was the only hospital in southwest Florida recognized, ranking #4 out of 21 Florida hospitals that made the list. In total, Newsweek recognized 600 leading hospitals out of more than 5,000 evaluated across the nation. Newsweek compiled its first Americas Best-In-State Hospitals 2024 list in collaboration with global market research and consumer data company Statista Inc. to identify top hospitals in each state. Hospitals were selected based on medical performance indicators that included low mortality, complication and readmission rates, as well as recommendations from medical professionals and patient survey results.
