Description

The responsibilities of our collections representatives are to collect 3rd party collection accounts in accordance with State and Federal collection practices.

• Makes outbound phone calls to various debtors in an attempt to collect a payment, arrange for payments, and/or an acceptable payment arrangement utilizing effective telephone collection techniques and principles while meeting call service levels.
• Negotiates coordinates payments, and responds to inquiries including conducting searches via phone or Internet to determine the location of debtors.
• Updates call results and enter any other pertinent information into databases by maintaining a record of all customer contacts.
• Processes electronic payments using the collections system.
• Refers to complex questions, problems, or client complaints promptly and accurately to the appropriate resources to ensure customer satisfaction.

Collectors assigned to Premium Client portfolio: Monday -Tuesday 10a-7p; Wednesday - Friday 8:30a - 5:30p and 2 Saturdays a month from 8:30a-12:30p

Requirements

We are looking for individuals that have the following skills:

• 1-3 years experience in collections.
• Superior interpersonal and problem-solving skills along with a high initiative to succeed.
• Exceptional communication skills – the ideal candidates will be well-rounded, pleasant, energetic, and articulate.
• Strong attention to detail and a multi-tasker
• Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
• Ability to navigate a computer while on the phone
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced office environment
• Location: In Office: San Antonio, TX

Preferred:

• Previous supervisor/team lead experience within a call center or financial institution environment preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English
• Familiarity with FDCPA
• Previous 3rd party collections experience
