SUMMARY
The Maintenance Tech II performs equipment repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the facilities. This position performs troubleshooting and repairs to electrical and electronic panels, components and controls and monitors utility systems throughout the manufacturing facilities. The Maintenance Tech II is a developmental position, in which Team Members are expected to expand their knowledge and skills to transition to a Maintenance Tech III. This position works 1pm to 11pm, 4-10 hour days, on a 2 week rotation.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
3-5 years’ experience in maintenance or related field with training certifications in the areas of the trades or enrolled and pursuing a Maintenance Apprenticeship or Electro-Mech degree.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license required for using company vehicles. Must maintain a clean driving record in order to remain insurable under the company’s insurance policy.
Certified to operate forklifts (will train and certify on the job)

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; working in coolers at temperatures of 40-45 degrees; extreme heat in areas such as the boiler room; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
TOOL & EQUIPMENT USED
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member may be required to work with hand power tools, welders, cutting torches, presses, lathes, milling machines, grinders, calculator, measuring and calibrating tools, electrical test instruments, mechanical test instruments, motorized pallet trucks, and assorted hand tools.
PPE REQUIRED
Personal protective equipment that is required when working with hazardous materials or loud equipment includes: safety goggles, rubber or latex gloves, lab coat and hearing protection. Other recommended PPE includes: face shield, chemical resistant apron and steel toe shoes. See Chemical Hygiene Plan for details.
