Boutique Family Law Firm Seeking Legal Assistant
Format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
- Schedule and coordinate client meetings, court hearings, and depositions
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and other relevant parties
- Manage attorney calendar, deadlines, and reminders to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and professional codes of conduct
- Provide general administrative support, such as answering phone calls, managing emails
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Legal Studies or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Secretary ideally in family law
- Proficient in legal document formatting, including knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and filing and document management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Professional demeanor and commitment to providing excellent client service
