Job Description: Performs the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors, floors, stairs, casings, and trim made of wood. Work involves most of the following: Planning and laying out of work from blueprints drawings models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of measuring instruments; making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selecting materials necessary for the work. In general, the work of the maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Other duties as required.

Physical Requirements: The position may require lifting up to 75 pounds, walking, and standing for extended periods of time, bending, pushing, pulling, some climbing and balancing may be needed. Significant hand and finger dexterity required. Environment, while generally hazard free, may include some exposure to dust and varying temperatures.

Required Job Qualifications: HS Diploma or Equivalent; Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Desired Job Qualifications: Three to five years Carpentry experience in an industrial setting

Necessary Licenses or Certifications: None

Work Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week); Various shifts, which may include Saturday, Sundays and/or holidays
