Strom Engineering Minnesota is seeking to staff a Painter position for an excellent company located in Minneapolis, MN. This position is a manufacturing facility position with the company’s Assembly Department. The Painter is responsible for the preparation and painting of parts and materials from beginning to finish coat with the goal of achieving a high-quality final product.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Mixes and prepares painting materials such as filler, primer, paint varnish enamel, lacquer, epoxies and other similar materials.

* Prepares parts to be painted by cleaning, sandblasting, filling washing, shellacking and priming.

* Reviews specifications from manufacturing information sheets, order forms and government specifications.

* Paints with appropriate spray gun or brush.

* Responsible for scheduling, maintaining accurate shelf-life inventories, auditing paint inventories and other duties.

* Works in other areas of the Assembly Team Department as needed. Duties may include assemble parts and machinery, procure lumber, prepare package shipments and related.

* Life and move materials using forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane or jib crane.

* Routinely lifts and moves objects up to 20 lbs. Occasionally lifts or moves objects up to 50 lbs.

* Performs to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and abides to OSHA and EPA regulations.
