We are looking for an engineer to help operationalize our custom robotics. You will play a hands-on role developing and deploying lightweight, interactive web experiences that dazzle internal and external users. The ideal candidate will have experience building internal tools for various technical and business needs.

(Previous robotics experience is not required.)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain Web Applications: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable web applications 
• Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance the functionality of web applications.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of web development
• Collaborate with an exceptional team and play a pivotal role in driving the progress of advanced web experiences
• Help ensure that our front-end applications and internal software tools meet the needs of our ever-developing robotics technology
• Design, build, and maintain testing infrastructure to ensure the reliability and quality of web applications

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 5 years of front-end and/or API development with a strong focus on web applications.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript (bonus points for Typescript!)
• Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React
• Knowledge of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity spinning up & managing microservices
• Commercial experience in a fast paced, agile environment

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Selenium).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

Where You’ll Work: 

Due to the nature of the job, we expect the majority of your working time to be spent in our office and R&D headquarters located in Watertown, MA. We are close to:

• MBTA Bus Routes
• Watertown<-> Harvard Square Connector Shuttle
• Between convenient exits on Route 20 & I-90
