Position Overview:

Pegasus Transloading is seeking General Laborers to join our team at our agriculture transloading plant in Joliet, IL. A successful General Laborer is a solution-focused self-starter that can follow direction to effectively manage their production output in a safe and clean manner.

Pegasus Transloading is third party transloading facility: we receive trucks/rail cars with ag products and load them into export containers.

As a General Laborer you will work directly with ag products (DDGS, Soybean meal, etc) to effectively manage inbound material, material processing and container loading and transfer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle the unloading of inbound material into the plant through the operation of driving of a spotter vehicle to move 40' container within the yard.
• Work in a manual labor environment (including the need to frequently driving, walk, stand, sit, shovel, climb, crouch, and kneel) and work in the outdoor elements .
• Handle ag product odors, and a dusty working environment.
• Follow the direction of the Supervisor and Plant Manager while staying highly organized and self-motivated
• Use effective problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and increase production output
• Exhibit a willing-to-learn attitude to effectively work
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Be adaptable to change and an effective communicator (both written and verbal)
• Follow all Company safety and compliance protocols and guidelines
• Adhere to the principles of honesty, integrity, and respect in every aspect of their role

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

• 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on an occasional basis
• Experience operating a spotter vehicle or wheel loader or the ability to learn to use heavy equipment such as bobcats or various other components of unloading ag products.
• Candidate can pass criminal and drug test.
