DescriptionYou will provide high-quality, patient-centered care by developing and conducting individualized therapy programs for patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments. As a member of the healthcare team, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals. Additionally, you will serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues.

- Conduct a subjective assessment of the assigned patient's speech-language abilities during spontaneous conversation.
- Administer objective tests to assess the patient's communication assets and liabilities.
- Structure and implement an individualized patient program to improve communication abilities.
- Evaluate the patient regularly during treatment and adjust the program as needed to maximize patient progress.
- Document progress in the patient's chart, including completing notes, charges, discharge notes, and patient communication.
- Consult with the Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Must be a licensed Speech Pathologist.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- NICU experience is required with at least 1 year of SLP NICU experience.
- Shift: Full-time, Days (Rotating Weekends)
- Compensation: \(36.62 - \)40.82 - $48.93 based on years of experience.
