Job Description: We are seeking a seasoned Construction Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and oversee all financial aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction accounting and a proven track record in a supervisory role. This position is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the financial health of our rapidly growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions related to construction projects, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Manage and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP.
• Coordinate with project managers to track project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of owner billings and subcontractor payments in Procore.
• Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks associated with construction projects.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in construction accounting and financial management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction accounting, preferrably with a General Contractor.
• Proven experience in a accounting supervisory or management role.
• Proficiency with construction accounting software, especially Sage and Procore highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations related to the construction industry.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills with a collaborative and supportive approach to team management.
