Job DescriptionSavannah River National Laboratory is seeking a Minority Serving Institutions Partnership Program (MSIPP) Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the Environmental Management mission at the lab. Qualified individuals must hold a degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics from a minority serving institution.
The Hydrology Modeling MSIPP Postdoctoral Research Associate position is focused on leading, advancing, developing, and applying hydrologic modeling in a research and development environment to anticipate, innovate, and deliver solutions in support of the Savannah River National Laboratory Environmental and Legacy Management (ELM) mission.
The researcher will model and analyze hydrology data in support of the Department of Energy Environmental Management directives. Work scope will include modeling hydrology changes and saltwater intrusion under future climate scenarios. Additional work scope may include modeling contaminant movement with hydrological events, statistical analysis of hydrology and contaminant data, and artificial intelligence/machine learning applications with hydrology.
F ield of Study/Capabilities include but not limited to hydrology, geology, hydrogeology, oceanography, environmental sciences/engineering, computer science/programming/modeling and related science or engineering disciplines.The Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are fixed term assignments within the company and benefits eligible.
