Job Description A Laboratory Director's-funded Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the EM and NNSA missions at the lab. Must hold a degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, preferably with a computational modeling background with emphasis in nuclear physics and computed radiography. Position is focused on applying limited- and sparse-view dual energy (element contrast) two-dimensional to three-dimensional X-ray imaging and the incorporation of element contrast. Additional experience can include programming skills with FORTRAN, Linux, C and/or PYTHON; LabVIEW and MCNP; Statistical and data analysis.
The position may require interaction with professional colleagues outside and across the Laboratory. The Postdoctoral Research Associate positions are fixed term assignments within the company and benefits eligible. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: - PhD 0-3 yrs. in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, preferably with a computational modeling background with emphasis in nuclear physics and computed radiography.
- Individuals must have completed all requirements for their PhD by the start of employment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate level government security clearance which requires a US citizenship status.
