Savencia Cheese USA Career Center is Hiring a Yard Jockey, 1st shift Near Lena, IL

This position drives a tractor-trailer to move all materials required to and from production plant and warehouses. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm with weekends, overtime, and covering for other shifts as required. 

Essential Functions

  • Moves materials from production docks to warehouse docks
  • Checks and maintains fuel and oil levels and reports any malfunctions or maintenance required to supervisor
  • Assists in loading, unloading, pallet sorting or any other jobs as instructed by supervisor
  • Requires flexible maneuverability to operate trucks, tractors, lift trucks and pallet jacks
  • Communicates with Supervisors, Material Handlers, and Fork Lift Operators to assure proper movement of trailers throughout the plant and warehouse
  • Complies with all procedures following an accident
  • Completes all required paperwork as assigned, including the Driver Truck Tracker Trailer Inspection Report and Food Safety Management System
  • Maintains regular, predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
