Saving Grace Animals for Adoption is dedicated to rescuing dogs from rural animal shelters and finding them loving homes. All animals are spayed or neutered before adoption. Our veterinary team seeks an enthusiastic and committed vet tech to care for surgical patients, assist with pre-, peri-, and post-operative care, monitor anesthesia, handle general cleaning, and aid in heartworm treatments.
We welcome applicants who are willing to work both collaboratively and independently and are unafraid of hands-on tasks with a high level of responsibility. This position is fast-paced and physically demanding but highly rewarding, offering the chance to join a dedicated team that has made a significant impact on animals and families across North Carolina.
This part-time position requires working two days per week (Monday-Thursday) during the spay/neuter clinic hours which are 7:30am to 5:30 pm. The range of hours may vary weekly.
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma (Required)
Experience working in veterinarian setting: One year required
Experience in animal sheltering/shelter: Experience preferred but not required.
Certified RVT is preferred but we will also consider candidates with experience in veterinary surgery.
