About the Role:

"This position will be effective July 1st, 2024 and is contingent upon new contract award."

The Mission Planning Support Engineer - Senior will troubleshoot the Mission Planning Environment and hardware and explain solutions to users.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

• Provides user support for numerous devices and maintain updated software/hardware configurations.
• Trains users on mission planning and execution software applications.
• Maintains network servers and client computers with current imagery.
• Provides local and remote support for IT systems and the software associated with these systems.
• Conducts network centric system administration of user systems.
• Provides intuitive solutions for ever changing user support requests.
• Integrates enterprise communications architecture with tactical networking devices.
• Assists with proposal development, if necessary.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years, within the last eight (8) years, operational experience with/or supporting Special Operations at Special Forces Group, Civil Affairs, Military Information Support Operations (MISO) or Ranger Regiment.
• Minimum of five (5) years operational experience with or supporting an organization's mission planning computer systems, communications, mission equipment, and planning techniques including preparation of unit mission plans for conduct of peacetime and wartime special operations missions.
• Familiarity with the assigned component's tactical Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and mission guides.
• Possess an in-depth knowledge of the ARSOF organizational structures, intelligence structures, functions and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities
• Possess operational experience with navigation and/or mission planning techniques including preparation and validation of planning products and outputs. Will be familiar with the wide range of ARSOF weapon systems identified and possess in-depth, first-hand mission planning skills and knowledge related to the ARSOF deployment environments
• Will have a working knowledge in the following areas/programs:
  • Portable Flight Planning Software (PFPS) and ARSOF platform (ground vehicle, etc.) interface software
  • Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK)/Nett Warrior (NW)
  • Windows Tactical Assault Kit (WINTAK)
  • TAK Server and mobile device management (MDM) familiarization
  • Execution Planner (XPlan)
  • Ground Guidance Auto Router

Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline; or Technical School Certificate related to computer systems; or the equivalent military training.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• A CE, CCNA - Security, Network , or SSCP highly desired.

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Security Clearance:

• Secret security clearance required with the ability to obtain Top Secret.

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
