- Collaborate with Executive Management on the creation of merchandising, promotional and marketing strategies that tie back to financial goals of the company.
- Directly oversee all merchandising tasks for customers as product is developed, presented, and placed within customer retail spaces and on e-commerce platforms.
- Initiate and generate business analysis to track selling, identify key trends and maximize opportunities in the assortment to achieve continued growth and profitability.
- Aggressively drive the business by identifying opportunities and developing action plans to maximize the best results by challenging business processes, partners, and status quo of our industry.
- Share insight and opinion based on experience and analysis to grow and impact business.
- Responsible for growth and development of the Merchandising team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in developing, and implementing seasonal product strategies that enhance our market position in additional categories.
- Analyze sales trends and consumer insights to inform merchandising decisions and maximize opportunities.
- Function as the liaison between Sales and Design teams to execute all that is required for product assortments.
- Directly oversee data entry into Lichtenberg’s PLM system, purchasing set up sheets, pricing quote sheets and RFQ forms completed by the merchandising team.
- Strategically analyze POS sales, create assortment updates, and provide direction to Sales team.
- Partner with Planning team to develop and execute seasonal plans, merchandising and promotional strategies.
- Prioritize projects daily to achieve success across all channels throughout the selling process.
- Represent the Merchandising team in department in meetings.
- Partner with the Design team to communicate product and trend knowledge with the Sales team and customer base.
- Plan and execute retail space via planograms and ecommerce assortment.
- Proven experience in merchandising leadership roles (7-10 years)
- Experience working within retail stores, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.
- Ability to translate trend and customer research into viable customer assortments.
- Detail oriented, strategic planning and the ability to multi-task and prioritize team leadership.
- Strong understanding of textile product development and trends.
- Market Analysis and Cross Functional Collaboration
- Familiarity with Product Line Management (PLM) systems.
- Strong organizational skills.
