Responsibility: Direct the creation of overseas sourcing strategies and buy plans to purchase and import products from overseas supplies. Develops and maintains positive relationships with suppliers while achieving targeted gross margins. Leads and directs the Global Sourcing team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
SUPERVISES: 3 Sourcing Directors and 3 Assistants
DUTIES:

• Directs the Global Sourcing team in the development of all new sources, price negotiations, quality control, on-time delivery, social compliance, and security of goods.
• Ensures that quality controls are in place in each country and that supplies adhere to company guidelines.
• Ensures that purchases are made in accordance with Company plan and market conditions to achieve gross profit requirements.
• Oversee the coordination of import functions to ensure proper and timely documentation of shipments and usage of appropriate carriers and cost controls.
• Travels to overseas factories to develop new sources, negotiate prices, assess factory capacities, monitor social compliance, review security, and maintain positive relationships.
• Directs management of overseas offices and staff including recruitment and development of local office staff, preparation of annual budget and expenditures, and compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Directly handle purchases of a specified product categories.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 15 years’ experience directing a Global Sourcing team and purchasing of products in a highly intensive SKU environment.
• Strong understanding of fabric construction and print techniques.
• Experience managing overseas, specifically China/India.
• Experience establishing and directing cost pricing strategies.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Experience working with licensed products a plus.
• Home experience strongly preferred.

Salary, DOE ($200,000-$250,000)
