We are working with a company that is looking to hire someone directly that has potential to grow professionally. This role will be good for someone that has an Accounting, Finance, or Business background and wants to be in a more data/analytical role. This data driven role will help the team tell their financial story. The right person will either have had an internship or a few years of related accounting/financial experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and plan budgets for departments and corporate
- Model scenarios based on business drivers
- Compare actual to forecasted results and learn to tell the story on any discrepancies
- Review and benchmark corporate compensation plans to ensure accuracy and success
- Maintain and prepare data used for variance analysis from budget to forecast.
- Reconcile cash balances
- Partner with teams cross-functionally to help them understand results
- Ad hoc reporting and projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business related field
- 1 year(s) or more in accounting/finance or related field
- Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
The above role is different than your traditional accounting/finance role. It will be heavily involved with analysis of data, while working with the senior leadership team. This is the type of position that someone that likes to dive into numbers would truly enjoy.
