• Clinical Oversight: Provide pharmaceutical care and clinical services to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. Conduct medication therapy management, pharmacotherapy consultations, and drug utilization reviews.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and patient care outcomes. Provide guidance and support to pharmacy staff on clinical matters.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in pharmacy services. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance medication safety and effectiveness.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency in medication management. Implement and monitor initiatives to streamline workflows and improve patient care delivery.
• Education and Training: Provide education and training to pharmacy staff, healthcare professionals, and patients on medication-related topics, including drug interactions, adverse effects, and proper medication administration.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of clinical activities, interventions, and outcomes. Prepare reports and presentations as required by pharmacy leadership and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• License: Current pharmacist license to practice in the state required on hire.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of previous hospital pharmacy experience.
• Certification: Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or other relevant specialty certification preferred.
• Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking abilities, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment: Willingness to commit to a minimum of 3 years of service to receive the signing bonus.

• 5 years as a pharmacist in a critical care hospital.
• Experience in a lead or leadership role within a pharmacy setting.
