Full Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for training and monitoring and supervising production associates
- A significant amount of time is spent on the production floor monitoring areas and planning and aiding in issue resolution
- Manage daily work assignments
- Develop operating standards and make recommendations for improvement in overall areas
- Resolve maintenance issues as needed and request assistance from maintenance department if needed
- Maintain OSHA logs
- Responsible for developing, implementing and managing health and safety programs
- Ensure appropriate and required safety training is complete and properly documented for all associates
- Distribute accident and injury reports as appropriate by management
- Report all worker’s compensation claims to provider
- Coordinate between employee and supervisor on injured associates restrictions or return to work status
- Maintain safety communication board throughout the facility
- Assist in maintaining the facility’s SDS and chemical list
- reports
- Ensure appropriate and required training is complete and properly documented for all associates
- Build teamwork and maintain positive morale
- Facilitates, leads, coaches and appraises the work of the staff and ensure staff consistently meets or exceed job standards
- Manager daily work assignments
- Review, evaluate and audit company’s 5S program
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor
- Requirements and Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft office and internet
- Knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety programs
- Some knowledge of worker’s compensation laws preferred
- Ability to communicate with insurance company representative, associates, clinic professional and all levels of management
- Ability to keep internal and external employee information confidential
- Demonstrates product and process knowledge
- Flexible, detail oriented and ability to multi-task
- Strong knowledge of labor laws
- Demonstrates reliability, dependability, attendance and good work ethics
Physical Requirements
Could have periods of prolonged sitting, walking, and or standing
Education
- Prefer Bachelors degree in EHS or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment

- Associate may be asked to work extended periods of time
- This position is in a factory and could involve exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise and may be exposed to hot or cold environment.
