As an investigator, you will report to the deputy Title IX coordinator to conduct investigations for all SCAD locations. Primarily responsible for the administration of SCAD’s Sexual Misconduct Policy and Grievance Process, the person in this role assists in resolving complaints of sexual harassment and sexual misconduct, which include stalking, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault. You will follow university policy to conduct investigations of complaints filed by students, faculty, and staff. When assigned, you will conduct a prompt and thorough investigation, acting as a neutral party in the investigation and providing a detailed, unbiased report regarding the findings of the investigation. With an emphasis on the privacy of student concerns and fostering a culture of care, you will actively maintain a climate that is supportive of every member of the SCAD community.
The successful candidate will maintain professional and productive working relationships with employees at all levels of the university, establishing the clear lines of communication necessary for collaboration. Strong organizational skills are crucial, as is the ability to prioritize and efficiently self-manage in order to accomplish tasks autonomously while meeting strict deadlines. The candidate must have the ability to maintain neutrality and work under stress, listen well, and demonstrate sensitivity and respect for individual needs.

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
