Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver

$20 / hour - Warehouse Associate and $26 / hour - Delivery Driver

NOTE: This is a dual position. Candidates will be hired for BOTH duties and scheduled each week for Warehouse Associate and also Delivery Driver on other days. All applicants must satisfactorily complete our pre-employment drug screen, physical (Obtain DOT Medical Card), background, and motor vehicle record check.

Our Warehouse Delivery Driver handles a wide range of responsibilities in the warehouse as well as on the road. The additional on-the-road responsibilities as a Delivery Driver include safe driving, inspection of products and vehicle, in-home deliveries and assembly, excellent customer service and professional conduct at all times.

The Warehouse Delivery Driver position is based in the warehouse and supports our warehousing needs. Qualified delivery drivers will have the opportunity to drive, deliver and assemble our products offsite at consumer locations at a higher base hourly rate while performing the Warehouse Delivery Driver functions listed below.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Warehouse Delivery Driver Responsibilities and Driver Activities

Deliver and assemble high-quality products via large delivery truck to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
Inspect delivery vehicles and ensure the safety and security of the entire delivery process including loading and unloading of merchandise.
Contact customers to confirm delivery details via phone, email, and text.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, follows all company safety and accident policies and procedures.
Safely deliver merchandise in perfect condition to our customer’s homes, providing friendly, courteous, and efficient furniture assembly or repairs.
Remove all packing materials and debris for return to store location.
Return and inspect damaged or undelivered products upon receipt, following all policies and guidelines.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance within the working environment including all equipment and tools.
Greet customers and answer phones or messages in a prompt, professional and polite manner.
May require driving long distance which require overnight stays 1-2 days as deemed necessary (Per Diem provided when applicable).
Review and verify invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy.
Perform other duties or special projects when assigned.

Warehouse Operational Responsibilities and Non-Driver Activities

Locate, pick, load and unload merchandise into customers’ cars and delivery trucks in a safe and professional manner.
Perform light assembly, affix tickets, and properly prepare and place merchandise for the store displays.
Maintain an accurate inventory to ensure expedient movement of merchandise.
Obtain and maintain comprehensive knowledge of our products.
Assist with showroom changes, tagging merchandise and help maintain displays and a clean and orderly showroom and backroom.
Perform other duties or special projects when assigned as a Driver or when in the warehouse.

WHO YOU ARE

MUST:
- Have a valid state issued driver’s license.
- Submit to the following prior to employment:
  - Pre-employment drug screening
  - Physical screening and obtain and DOT Medical Card
  - Background check
  - Motor vehicle record check
CDL preferred but not required.
Able to lift a min. of 75 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
1-3 years successful work experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
Good communication skills and can read invoices, use computer terminals to look up information.
Use a hand truck, understand assemblies, and correctly operate small power tools.
Obtaining forklift certification is required at some of our facilities.
Driver’s must be 21 years or older.
This position will be subject to random and post-accident drug screening.
Schedule includes weekends, some evenings, holiday work, inventory, retail “black-out” periods and other busy times.
Our positions require successfully completing the pre-employment background check and signing a nondisclosure agreement.
