Scanogen Inc. is Hiring a Lab Technician Near Baltimore, MD
- Perform and assist with Scanogen reagent preparation for use in R&D and in the final product
- Perform routine and specialized experiments, and assist as needed
- Perform quality control for prepared reagents
- Prepare buffers and maintain buffer inventory
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment
- Collect and document experiment data and generate detailed experiment reports
- Oversee lab inventory and request supplies when needed to maintain stocks
- Ensure laboratory safety by following safety guidelines and protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized lab space
- Associate's degree (or equivalent) in biological science or related discipline (minimum)
- At least 1 year of experience as lab technician (or equivalent) in industrial or academic laboratory
- Ability to interact with colleagues in a team environment
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks beyond area of core expertise
- Familiarity with a lab environment
- Aseptic and sterile techniques
- Pipetting & micro-pipetting
- Experience in molecular diagnostics is a plus
- Experience in cancer or infectious disease research is a plus
