Day Class Hours are 9am-4pm Monday-Thursday
Evening Class Hours are 6pm-10:05pm Monday-Thursday
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Student will, under limited supervision, be funded to attend Alaska Career College (ACC) to complete the Certified Medical Assistant Program and pass the National Medical Assistant exam resulting in certification and eligibility work as a CMA for Southcentral Foundation.Upon completion of the Medical Assistant Program with ACC, to include passing the national certifying exam, the CMA Student will be eligible to apply for a CMA position within one of SCF's various clinics.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Students should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF's Vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and Mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

1. Alaska Native or American Indian descent
2. High School Diploma or GED
3. Must be at least 18 years of age
