- Receive inventory into the plant, unload, and inspect for damage.
- Confirm the completeness of each order.
- Store all incoming inventory into the appropriate warehouse in an orderly manner.
- Transfer inventory to other branches when needed.
- Load equipment into vehicles for customers and service personnel.
- Fill LP cylinders as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouses and outside plant.
- Operate trucks and equipment owned by SchagrinGAS and hold the required licenses.
- Make necessary repairs to Company-owned propane tanks.
- Offload propane railcar shipments to bulk plant following all DOT, FRA and company procedures for safety and compliance.
- Reports directly to the VP of Propane Ops South, may obtain direction from Warehouse Supervisor and others.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned to the position.
- Treats customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Report all accidents and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
- Experience offloading railcars is preferred but will train the right candidate.
- Qualified in LP Gas Transfer. (We are willing to train)
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 75 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (Class B commercial driver’s license preferred) with minimal violations.
- Forklift or other powered lift equipment operation experience preferred.
- Capable of working in an environment that is both indoor and outdoor in all types of weather.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the position.
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment many times during the course of the day’s work.
- Must comply with SchagrinGAS drug & alcohol testing policy.
