Description

* Build and develop relationships with key suppliers

* Establish foreign and domestic suppliers

* Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, production and distribution abilities, and all other aspects that may influence purchasing decisions

* Meet with vendors to negotiate improved pricing, product quality, and delivery

* Analyze sales and changes in the market that may affect the availability and price of supplies

* Review Purchase Requisitions to ensure proper authorization

* Prepare and issue purchase orders

* Maintain optimal inventory levels

* Monitor delivery dates and expedite material as necessary

* Source material on demand for entire organization

Requirements

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills

* Outstanding organizational skills

* A strong analytical mindset

* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

* BS degree business or 2 years of experience preferred
