The
Senior Manager, Project Management Office is a newly create role to support critical initiatives across the firm in support of its growth. This strategic role will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of internal transformation projects and the integration of potential M&A targets into the firm. They will work closely with the Operating Committee on strategic priorities, practice and internal firm support business leaders ensuring seamless implementation and effective change management. The Project Management Office (PMO) will initially be a "player-coach", leading internal stakeholders and external consultants to achieve project goals, with the ability to build a team over time based upon business needs.
Schneider Downs has embraced the hybrid work model, so this role will have flexibility working from home, as well as in the office. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Lead and manage internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within understood expectations of quality, scope and budget
- Manage the roster of projects, both in process and upcoming; including maintaining a project back-log and ensuring appropriate resources are mustered and allocated to support project execution
- Partner with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Director of Digital Transformation and Operating Committee (OC) to manage the execution of digital initiatives across the organization; measure and monitor results relative to adoption, working with stakeholders where adoption is falling short of expectations
- Oversee the change management process, ensuring that associates are engaged and supported through the transformation journey
- Manage the integration of M&A targets, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with the firm's strategic goals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including senior management, external partners and vendors
- Provide regular updates to the executive team on project status, risks and opportunities
- Ensure that all project documentation is maintained to a high standard and is in compliance with regulatory requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED Required :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field
- Minimum of eight years of project management experience, including a minimum of five years of experience in a project management leadership role, preferably within a digital transformation context
- Proven experience in managing the execution of transformation projects and managing internal stakeholders and external consultants
- Experience managing technology implementation projects in partnership with the business and technology teams
- Relevant certification (e.g., PMP)
Preferred :
- Experience working within a professional services firm
- Experience managing M&A integrations
Other :
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
The ideal candidate will have the rigor of PMP certification and experience, but is not a career project manager such that everything is solely about the management of projects, but is more focused on the outcomes and quality of the adoption of projects. Former business analyst, or someone from the business, that moved into a PMO role over time.
Strong business acumen with an analytical mindset.
A professional who has worked across multiple disciplines, and who has implemented methods and processes across multiple levels of an organization (i.e., SD is complex and nuanced, so an agile mindset is needed)
A "player-coach" mentality - someone who has started, ran and grew a PMO, but is willing and able to get their hands dirty doing.
